Jer chuckled, and laid back. "I live for challenges dear." He assured her, glancing sideways and then linking his hands behind his head. "Bring it on."

"You can't just accept the challenge without asking for something in return," she said, pressing her lips together in a tight smile as she ran her fingers through her hair.

He gave her a long look, but then cleared his throat once. "In return for my acceptance of the gauntlet you hath thrown down, I do request that while I am fulfilling yours, you don't glance upon me." He said, knowing she wouldn't want to take that.

Charlotte looked up at him instantly. "No. Your request in invalid. Something else," she begged desperately.

He laughed heartly, pulling her on top of him. "Can I request something bigger?" He questioned, getting a serious edge to his voice.

Jer readjusted himself a little, "Maybe," He started. "if I succeed in your challenge, you'll take the challenge of being my bride?" He offered. He knew they'd fought and broken up then gotten back together many-a-times. But he was tired of it. Couples fight, thats natural, but getting back everysingle time wasn't. And he couldn't help but think that meant something. He fully intended for her to deny it, it didn't seem their style. But she was his style, and he wanted to assure she belonged to him and him alone.

Charlotte paused for a moment. She looked up at him, expecting this to be some cruel April Fools joke or something. Jer would do something like that, right? "Well." She lowered her eyes, shaking her head, but not as a no. Confusion, that's all. Would she really want to marry this son of a bitch?
"Yes. Yes. A million times yes."

He looked at her, surprised at her response. "Well Shit, this was spur of the moment I don't have a ring." He murmured but grinned. "I'll take you out tomorrow, I'll get you any one you want. I promise."

Charlotte smiled. "I don't need a ring, honestly," she said softly, her hands trailing up his chest. "But I agree, spur of the moment it was. Are you sure about this?" She sure was.

He nodded instantly. "Yes, If I have to live forever I sure as hell am going to bring you along with me." Jer said.

Charlotte frowned. "I'm not going to, you know."

He nodded, fully aware of the situation. "I know, I'm working on it. But for now be happy. We're young, and happy." He said, kissing her fully to try and switch her mind to a cheerier subject.

Charlotte shook her head, pulling away for a second. "Working on it? What's that supposed to mean?"

"I haven't figured it out yet, but I'm working a way to change one of our conditions. Even out of lifespans..." He shrugged. "Nothing so far, but I'll figure something out." He assured her.
