Leo smiled a half smile and nodded his head. "You don't have to thank me, Lydia," he murmured softly, scratching the back of his neck. He tapped his lip next, and then walked off. He returned less than a second later dragging a chair with him. He pulled it up next to her, sitting down and taking her hand very gently in his own.
"I'm sorry that you're all...restrained and everything," Leon said, giving her hand a light squeeze. He leaned forward and, forgetting his gut clenching fear, kissed her cheek. Then he sat back, starting down at her. "It's for the best, though. You gotta stay here till you're better, kay?" He arched his brow in anticipation for her response.

Lydia knew that he was right, but she also knew that he was wrong. She didn’t HAVE to thank him but she wanted to. After all he had saved her life whether he wanted to or not. She was here and she was alive because he had acted quickly, even if she would rather be anywhere but here. She watched him pull over a chair, and when he took her hand her fingers curled round his, though her grip was loose. She was tense still, and there was nothing that she could do about that except get out of here, and she doubted he was going to let her do that. No, he would probably want her to stay.
She was just about to ask him to take the restraints off of her when he kissed her on the cheek. She was slightly confused, but assumed that the little affection was caused by his relief and that he would be back to teasing her just as quickly. Then her fear was confirmed. When he said she had to stay Lydia’s eyes widened and her grip on his hand clamped down like a vice. She shook her head. “No, please Leo no here. Not here and certainly not bound down like this.” Tears, not of anger but of fear started to well up in her eyes. “I can’t stand it here Leo, I can’t be here.”
