The sound of approaching footsteps made Xhevahire lift her head, staring up at the guy. "Get away from me," she hissed, narrowing her eyes. She stood up on her own, ignoring his hand and dusting off her black jeans. "You've already ruined enough," she continued with a shake of her head. "Do you realize how pissed Alec is gonna be? The whole thing that you did - yeah, it's not going to help. He's gonna do even more to me than before, I swear."
Maybe she should have appreciated his help, but she honestly didn't. Why did he want to help her anyway? Why did he even care? She was a mere human, for Heaven's sake. She had no purpose to him.

"I'll make sure he won't. Trust me. I'll be able to tell if he does, or will," he said mysteriously. She didn't appreciate the help, he knew. He didn't really care whether she did or not. He was doing this because he couldn't just walk away, knowing what this girl was condemned to. Alec probably would have killed her eventually. It wouldn't have gotten better, anyways. "And I promise, I won't interfere with anything else. Unless someone else is beating you, also...?" he raised an eyebrow in her direction and sunk down next to her on the floor.
He sighed, and hugged his knees. He usually wasn't the violent type. Except when it came to violent types. At least, he thought, he would walk away from this girl knowing that he made some kind of a difference.

Gritting her teeth, Xhevahire spat on the ground angrily. "Damnit, can you just stop it?!" she hissed, running a hand through her hair. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate the help, but she hated how he interfered. "You're making a big deal out of nothing," she added with narrowed eyes, clenching her fists. She'd like to throw a punch at this guy, hit him or something. She knew that he could easily win, though. "Fuck this!" she shouted out to no one in particular, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I'm gonna go check on the guy that you practically killed," she spat as she made her way towards the doorway. Rounding the corner and reaching the counter, she shivered when she saw Alec's stiff body against the wall. "You alright?" she questioned him, her voice filled with concern - the fake kind. She frowned as he turned to stare at her, his eyes suddenly growing angry. No, wait... furious.
"Listen, bitch," he began, practically growling. "You left me in here to die. Not that I couldn't defend myself, but a little help could have been nice. And you - you didn't offer that help like you should have." He stood up, staring down at Xi and, without a moment of thought, kicked her in the shins. Not even hesitating in the least, he slapped her, his fingers raking her cheek. She closed her eyes, enduring the pain like he had done every other time this had happened.

It was a good thing that Riley at followed her, because he walked in on Alec beating up the girl. He peeked around the corner and waiting for a good chance to get her away from him. Right about... NOW! He reached around and yanked her arm as softly as he possibly could so that she was out of his reach. He looked at her, "Let me carry you. Now. He's probably going to come after us and I have to hide you," he said in a low whisper. There was no time to lose. In exactly 2 seconds the vampire would probably round the corner and kill them both. He knew that he wasn't strong enough to take him on alone.
